The uniqueness in kasese district

Kasese is ideally the main commercial center in Kasese area. It is located in western side of Uganda and it lies north of Lake George. The town became famous at the time of copper mining at Kilembe and later the attention was taken to cobalt mining. This remarkable town also comes with amazing history for the Uganda railway that runs from Kasese to Kampala and then continues to Tororo.

Kasese receives the largest number of tourists given its stunning environment and other big commercial centers. This district features more than 533000 people with 54000 people who live within the main town alone. It covers an area of about 3389.8 square kilometers. It is one of the fastest developing districts in Uganda when it comes to tourism activities and attractions. Kasese belongs to the Rwenzuru kingdom that is led by King Charles mumbere.

Mountain Rwenzori

The fabled “Mountains of the Moon” in Rwenzori Mountains National Park, one of Uganda’s UNESCO heritage sites lie in Western Uganda along the Congolese border where the snow-covered equatorial peaks rise to a height of 5,109m and the lower slopes are blanketed in moorland and rich montane forest. Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth national parks is undoubtedly Uganda’s most famous national park and traveler’s destination.
