Nyerere National Park is researched to be the largest in the country. It is a fun place to visit, and due to the variety of activities available, be prepared to be entertained and have a wonderful experience. Activities available include safari game drives, boat riding safaris, bush walking safaris, Cultural Visits, Sundowner Cruises, and night game drives. We are pleased to have you with us for this private lodge safari tour. We use pop-up and opened safari jeeps during our safari tour.

Fly from Zanzibar to Selous earlier in the morning. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel to the airport in Zanzibar early morning. Immediately as you arrive in Selous, our guide will pick you up from Mtemere Airstrip then start a game drive. At 10 am you will have breakfast then proceed with the game drive until lunchtime. Late afternoon you will head to the lodge. After you relax, the guide will take you for a night game drive and dinner in the park. There are huge possibilities to spot wild cats because they are active during the night. Animals include leopards, lions, genets, civets, porcupines, rabbits, bush babies, etc.

After breakfast, we go for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch inside the park with a great view of the lakes and different animals. Afterwards, we will head to the hot spring near the mountains, and have a swim or bath if possible with a beautiful landscape viewing Nyerere National Park with its animals in the park. After the game drive, you will have a private boat safari trip in the evening before your dinner and overnight.

In the early morning, you will have the option to go to Maasai village or an early bush walking safari in the bushes of Selous with a Bushman. You'll be back for breakfast. Then leave again for a village walking safari. In the afternoon, you will have lunch when time allows and check out heading to the airstrip to fly back to Zanzibar. However, all the activities can be customized to meet your requirements. Our driver in Zanzibar will pick you up at the airport to your hotel.
